Why is it important to have an attorney review your timeshare?

There are many different types of timeshare plans that are offered and it is important to understand what you own. Timeshare contracts are prepared by the timeshare resort attorneys and are drafted in favor of the timeshare resort. At the time you entered into the contract you were without legal counsel and may not have understood the documents you signed. We can explain these contracts and provide advisement for your best interest moving forward.

What is the right of rescission after the sale of a timeshare?

In all timeshare cases there is a right of rescission after the sale and many claims against timeshare companies will include a demand to rescind the contract. While all of these areas of law are fairly commonplace for most attorneys, very few lawyers are well-versed and understand what goes on behind the scenes in timeshare sales.

My Timeshare company used deceptive sales practices, can Timeshare Law Office help?

Many timeshare companies like to sell the dream of owning your future vacations. They paint a picture of hassle-free use and a lifetime of great memories. The problems often only become apparent after you receive your login or owner id to make reservations. It is then you might realize that while you thought you were buying a right to vacation, you actually were only buying the right to compete with other timeshare owners and the developer for your vacation time.

In most plans there is no right to actually use what you paid good money for. In practicality an ownership provides you the right to call and try to make a reservation. Many of the timeshare resorts will point to the purchase contract which states clearly that you agree that you relied on no other promises than what is in writing in that contract.

The descriptions in writing on how you use your timeshare are often spelled out in the covenants of the Property Owners Association or the Trust documents.  These documents are the length of novels and are not easily understood. If you feel that the sales process was deceptive contact Timeshare Law Office to discuss your case.
